Nausea is discomfort within the stomach. Frequently, a patient who is nauseated has an accompanied urge to vomit. Nausea is a symptom caused by various diseases and medical conditions.

Treatment
Patients with nausea may be given symptomatic treatment by avoiding solid foods, sitting down in a still location (in motion sickness), receiving antiemetics, taking spices such as ginger or peppermint, and drinking fluids to avoid dehydration. Drinking and eating slowly may help in prevention and controlling of nausea. If an underlying medical condition behind the nausea is established, it may possibly be treated to relieve the symptom.
